Butter & Crumb

A neighbourhood bakery that was famous locally and invisible everywhere else. We renamed it, gave the loaf a face, and wrapped everything in butcher-paper warmth. Queues now start before the ovens do.

Kids' rainwear with a simple belief: bad weather is the good stuff. We built a splash-first identity — wellington yellow, puddle blue, and a tone of voice that sounds like recess. Parents buy it; kids refuse to take it off.

Nightingale Post

A subscription letter service for people tired of shouting online. We named it after the bird that sings at night, set it in a serif with excellent posture, and designed stationery that makes recipients keep the envelope.

A third-generation yarn shop competing with fast fashion. We repositioned slowness as the luxury: a hand-drawn wordmark that literally unravels, and a store identity you want to sit inside with tea.

  1. Flatten

    We spread everything out — your history, customers, rivals, that one weird founding anecdote — until the whole business lies flat on the table and we can see the grain of it.

  2. Crease

    Strategy is choosing where the paper bends. One positioning, one promise, one voice. We press hard here, because a soft crease is how planes nosedive.

  3. Shape

    Now the fun part: identity, naming, type, colour, motion. Dozens of prototypes, most of them wrong on purpose, until the right one practically folds itself.

  4. Throw

    Launch. Guidelines, templates, a launch plan, and a hand on your shoulder for the first ninety days. We don't hand you a plane — we teach you the throw.
